TarHeel Treadathon

The UNC Running Club is a student-run organization that provides training, competition, and community for runners of all experience levels at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Our club supports students who want to stay active, pursue competitive running opportunities, and remain engaged in the sport beyond the traditional varsity structure.

This year, we are hosting a two-day treadmill run as a fundraising and awareness event for our club. Members will run continuously on a treadmill for over 24 hours to highlight our commitment to accessibility, endurance, and community involvement. Funds raised through this event will directly support several core goals of the club.

One of our primary objectives is to host a public track meet for the Triangle community. This event is intended to provide competitive opportunities for individuals who may not have a school or institutional team to compete with, allowing them to stay active and engaged in organized athletics. In addition, donations help offset travel and competition costs for club members attending meets and national-level competitions throughout the nation.

All donations made through the provided link are tax deductible. Contributions are processed through UNC and then designated specifically for the UNC Running Club. Donors will receive an email receipt following their donation, which may be used for tax reporting purposes.

We appreciate your support in helping us expand access to competitive running, represent UNC at regional and national events, and continue offering meaningful opportunities for students and community members alike.
