CLUBBERS,
I hope you all had a great thanksgiving break, got to spend a ton of time with family and friends, and spent minimal time studying. Naturally, I spent my whole break TAKING PICTURES OF NMS THE CAR!!!!!!!!!
Here’s some of the finest shots. And don’t be fooled by her cute appearance. She is evil.
Now, closing up the semester, we’ll take Monday and Tuesday as group easy runs, with Wednesday being an LDOC frisbee day. Besides that, there’s not a ton scheduled for us with the exception of the below. That is,
- Wednesday will be our last day of official practice for the semester. We will be running 4, 5, and 6 mile routes tomorrow and the same Tuesday. With Wednesday being our last day of practice, that means we will not have access to the indoor track after Monday until the start of next semester.
- Team Captain applications will be open through LDOC. I had originally put Saturday but realized that was an unreasonably quick turnaround. Here is the link to that. All active runners who think they can bring good insight are encouraged to apply. And that also means those who tend to take runs slower and easier. We will need beginner training plans too. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRFV7OusLscpmEl_aFJ0XDqS0c9h1yT87yjh5HwpcENi06Pw/viewform
- Keep your eyes open for an announcement regarding a group run with local organization Saving Grace. We are currently working on organizing a time, likely during the reading day next Sunday, in which Saving Grace will bring some dogs and pups and we will get to run with them. This will not be an official practice, but rather something for anyone who would like to get to hang out with some puppies and run with them. It’s a trial run for both us and them, so we are not exactly sure what it will look like, but as soon as we have more information, I’ll send it out. I am looking forward to this, as I think itll be super relaxing during finals 😄
- Lastly, this is a reminder that in order to be reimbursed for Tar Heel 10 as a Dues-Paying member, you must have two service credits. As the spring approaches, the opportunities are starting to slow down, so hop on while you can. Nick has sent the sign up for Georgia Tech, which is open through December 3rd, in the main GroupMe. Instructions for TH10 registration will be sent soon, as soon as our registration discount code goes live.
I think that’s all for now – with the semester coming to a close, I want to remind everyone to keep their head high and do their best. Make sure you guys prioritize good sleep and focused study, and the grades will come. And at the end of the day, everything happens for a reason. Do not fret going into finals – it’ll all work out.
Signing off for now,
