Clubbers,

Being sat outside of Davis waiting for the great opening can do crazy things to a person – including causing them to pore over the results of regionals for all too long.  Doing so, I noticed something pretty amazing: half of our team PR’d at regionals yesterday.  Good.  Lord.  I’m super proud of you guys.  Both teams qualified for the championship race at nationals, with a 4^th place finish on the men’s side and a 6^th place finish on the women’s.  A huge shoutout to Abbey for a second place finish, starting out in the middle of the chase pack, moving up through it, and then hawking down both 3^rd and 2^nd … with a massive gap in between each.  Class racing from everyone.  

Now, the housekeeping stuff:

• ASAP: Sign up for the Halloween 4xmile, taking place Friday the 1^st at Eddie Smith.  Start time is currently TBD for 6pm or 7pm – we are waiting to hear back from UNC Athletics regarding this.  Signup will close tonight. Link follows:Halloween 4xMile Signup
• ASAP: Sign up for nationals.  This will close tonight, and as always the sheet is in the dues-paying GroupMe.  We still need several drivers, as well.  As a reminder, this will be a two-night trip, Friday evening and Saturday evening, we will stay in hotels, returning Sunday morning.  It’ll be a real blast in Hershey…

Back to important stuff

• If you drove to regionals, fill out the driver reimbursement form.  You have a week to do that to get money back from the club for driving.
• The sign-up to be on the ballot to serve as an officer next year is out.  Read the below document to find all the important information:

Workouts for the week will be posted in the GroupMe later – I wanted to get out the important stuff earlier today.  We are looking at a Tuesday/Thursday workout set and one last long run on Saturday.

Again, I am super proud of all of you for how you guys did yesterday. It was awesome… looking forward to nattys now .
