Madlads, madladies, and everyone in between,
If you are returning for your second, third, or fourth (or fifth, sixth, etc) year, welcome back to Carolina!!! I hope you all had restful summers filled with lots of grand adventures. And that none of you experienced season-ending injuries while trying to do something stupid like climbing this:

(I am still mad at treasurer-ish Ishan for convincing us this was a good idea)
If you are moving into a place in Chapel Hill for the first time, welcome to UNC!!!!! I imagine this time is a bit scary, crazy and overwhelming for you. But trust me, these next couple of years are going to be fantastic – just take these first few weeks to settle in. For all you know, you may find your lifelong best friends in the next few weeks.
About practice: Our first day of practice will be this Tuesday at 5pm. Practice meets outside of the doors to Carmichael Arena that face Hooker Fields. Be there or be square. (Don’t be a square) (Nobody likes squares).
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably deeply out of shape and will feel lot like this little guy come Tuesday. (I’m talking about the fish btw, NOT my dad. He’s in better shape that I am.)

But don’t fret! Come run with us. This first week, we are going to take things easy and just show off some shorter and medium length routes around the area. We frequent these, so you won’t want to miss it. And if you are in good shape (let’s go Brad, pls carry us), then fantastic. I can’t wait to see you all rip

Other than that, we will address questions about races, dues, workouts, and anything else you could want to know about running for club over the next week. Don’t stress, don’t think, just run.
Now, I plea that all of you get on to bed and get well rested for the long, hectic, and fantastic week ahead. See you all soon, I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
