NATIONALS RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Well – quite frankly I lack words to describe how I feel about this weekend.  This was our first time attending NIRCA Track and Field Nationals in many years and it was fantastic.  You guys are great, all of you.

Each and every one of you should be proud of your performances this weekend!!!!  From Ethan’s absolutely mad 14:52 run in the 5k to our 4×400’s awe-inspiring push to a heat victory (and All-American status) to Laura’s multiple club records to Nick and Soorya’s shot puts, there is so much to be celebrated.  Most of all though, I think I’m just celebrating that I get to have you all in my life.  Thank you all for being here and sharing this sport with me and with each other.  I love you all.

As for this upcoming week:

  1. We are going to take tomorrow easy and play some frisbee and wiffleball instead!  Of course, there will be a group heading to run but we’d be delighted to have everyone join us for some light ballsportsing.
  2. Habitat for Humanity build will be taking place this Sunday, 4/14.   Keep on the lookout for information regarding that – we will be sending a sign-up for it soon.  Keep in mind that this will be the last non-platelet donation service credit opportunity.   So, if you still need a service credit to be reimbursed for TH10, hop on this.  It’s a great time.
  3. As per usual, we’ll have the indoor track at Eddie Smith from 7-9pm tomorrow and the outdoor track at Finley Fields 6-8pm Wednesday, along with our usual Woolen weight room sessions on Monday and Wednesday at 8:15pm.

I want to keep it brief, so that’s all for this week.  Thank you all again for this weekend and I can’t wait to see everyone soon.  I’m feeling unbelievably inspired and can’t wait to start working towards future goals alongside you all.  Now get some rest and enjoy the eclipse tomorrow.
