Time to lock in

Well… I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no good at this “bracketology” thing.  I mean, some of these schools I’ve never even heard of.  Like for real, what even is a “Blue Devil”?   Sounds like something a bunch of 7-year-olds made up while refusing the egg-salad sandwich their mothers lovingly prepared.   Despite my lack of accuracy when it comes to these things, my bracket has made sure of three things.  Take a look.

I heard little bros one and two were both getting all hyped up for their first-round exit.  Now, while you’re (hopefully) riled up… join the club bracket challenge – info is in the GroupMe!!!!!!  Winner gets a date with Ishan.  And he pays for it (he doesn’t know this)!

But anyways… onto the other club stuff!

  1. Sign-up info for Charlotte is in the Dues-Paying GroupMe!  This should be a great meet, hosted Saturday, March 30.  Signups close in about a week, so get on that sooner rather than later.  We will only be providing transport from Chapel Hill and if you are in the Charlotte area for the long weekend, we encourage you to find your own transportation.  And likewise, we are constantly in need of drivers.  If you are able to drive, please let us know.  We will reimburse you for gas expenses.  
  2. We will be making a GroupMe for all runners signed up for nationals.  Hotels are booked at this time, and we are working to get you guys all cleared for eligibility with NIRCA.  We also want to start registering people through NIRCA, so once we make this GroupMe we will be sending out a sheet for you guys to sign up for your events at Track Nationals.  This will also serve as a jersey sign-up for both Track Nationals and Half Marathon nationals.
  3. We will be doing a long run this weekend.  Currently, we are planning to head to Umstead on Saturday morning.  Mark your calendars for some good conditioning.  
  4. As per usual, we will have access to the indoor track at Eddie Smith Monday from 7-9pm and access to the outdoor track at Finley Wednesday 6-8pm.  This is in conjunction with our access to the Woolen weight room on Monday and Wednesday at 8:15pm.  Likewise, workouts for the week are posted in GroupMe.  These ones should hurt.  Good workouts heading into Championship Season.

Now… with the end of the semester beginning, it’s time we all get our sleep and get our lives together.  

Despite relating deeply with da cat on the left, I must prepare to lock in for the rest of the semester and thus shall be off to sleep.  You all have a great evening and I look forward to seeing everyone this week for some warm weather running!
