Club,
It must be known, first and foremost, that my plans for world domination are coming together pretty darn quickly. I mean, truthfully, no one stands a chance. On top of winning my first RISK game since entering the presidency, I got to witness something huge happen yesterday: UNC Run Clubbers SCORING in a DIVISION I meet!!! We are unstoppable! In all seriousness though, congratulations to everyone who ran yesterday at the Dick Taylor Challenge, you guys made club super proud. Also, HUGE thanks to everyone who volunteered yesterday. Thou shalt be rewarded with a service credit towards Tar Heel 10 reimbursement for your valiant efforts.
REAL footage of run club (vs all other running bodies and groups) follows below. These fools stand no chance.

*IMPORTANT* BORROWED JERSEYS AND SHORTS MUST BE RETURNED. Failure to do so will result in a $100 charge. Also, there is no need to wash them. We will take care of that here.
Next UP:
We gotta talk about upcoming races!!
- Camel City Invite – this is this upcoming weekend. We (club) will be reimbursing all runners who enter into the meet. There is a time standard that you must meet in order to run here. It is a competitive meet. If you do not yet feel prepared to race and race hard, this is not a great meet for you. We will have much more accessible meets in the near future, though, so hang on! We will be providing transport for runners on Saturday Jan. 27. More info in the Dues Paying Groupme.
- JDL College Challenge – This is Feb 8th. It’s a Thursday meet, but its before a long weekend. MUCH more lax time standards, this is a much better entry meet for our newer runners. Similar to Camel City, we will be reimbursing all runners who enter.
- Lastly, for our upcoming track meets: Frantz Invite (Our home meet) is scheduled for Feb 17th. This will have no time standards – GREAT meet for all. More info will follow soon in the dues paying GroupMe, but for now, mark your calendars!!! This will be paid for out of pocket by club – NO NEED to register for anything. Super easy when the time comes.
We will release more information for upcoming races as we have it available, but now is time to plan for these meets. We’d love to bring a big crew along.
Unfortunately, I am unable to send the workouts for this week via email. ListServ hates to see us win and says that my email is “too large”. And, sadly enough for those who read these only because they want to see our weekly workouts, the chess gif must take priority. However, workouts for this week will be available in the GroupMe. This is another base building week in prep for later season races.
And lastly, as always, we will have access to the Woolen weight room this Monday and Wednesday at 8:15pm. Come get swoll with us!!!!
As for me, I’m headed to bed after reading some LOTR. You all should follow suit – get your 8 hours of sleep. See you all tomorrow at 4pm for practice!
